Gerald Vernon"John" Turner
Born: August 6, 1929 - Final Call: November 19, 2007
John Turner was a founding member of the Marshall Township Volunteer Fire Department, retiring from active service in 2004. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps and served in Korea from 1952-1954. He retired from General Motors, and was a custodian of Needmore school. John married his wife, Barbara, in 1950. They were members of Grace Full Gospel Church and rarely missed a service. John died on November 19th, 2007 at age 78 from injuries sustained in a automobile accident on Old Ind. 37 North at Old Needmore School Road. John is survived by his wife, Barbara, and sisters, Phyllis May and Sue Cheek. His final resting place is Hopkins Cemetery in Lawrence County. ...Gone, but not forgotten. |  |
